Drema Joyce Moran McMinn

March 3, 1943 - June 28, 2023

Drema McMinn, 80, of Edinburg, VA passed away on June 28, 2023 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Montgomery, WV. After graduating Marsh Fork High School in 1960 she moved to Washington, DC where she met the love of her life, her husband of 62 ½ years, Glenn.
She worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture where she retired after 35 years of service.
Drema loved playing bingo, going to auctions, playing slot machines, drinking Pepsi with potato chips or a Reese’s Cup and made the best fudge! She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her sisters.
Mom/Mama/Memoo was the matriarch of our family and will be loved and missed until we are all together again.
She is survived by her husband Glenn; her daughters Tammy McMinn and Glenda Selvage (Monk); her grandchildren Nichole Burns (Norman), Carl McMinn, Rachael Neff, and Katie Selvage; her great-grandchildren Lily, Brooklyn, Ellie, Carmella, Robert, Carl, Malakhi, Dadrian, and Dontae; her brother Ralph Moran; her sisters Janice Eastep, Sandy Snodgrass, Linda Buchanan (Jack), Carolyn Zornes (Harvey), and brother-in-law Stan Cox; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special sister-in-laws Esther, Nancy, and Louise. Special friends Pastor Katie Gosswein, Dexter and Donna Mumaw, and former daughter-in-law Lori Conrad.
She is preceded in death by her parents Beatrice Snodgrass, Lee Moran, and step-father Lee Snodgrass; her brothers Charles Moran and Thomas Snodgrass; her sisters Mary Lou Weidaw and Debra Cox. The loss of her son Mike was a loss that never healed until her passing.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 15th at 1pm at Zion Lutheran Church, 321 Headquarters Road, Edinburg, VA 22824 with Pastor Katie Gosswein officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and will have a time of food and fellowship immediately following the service at the church.
