Dorcus Ann (Mawyer) Rowzie Oliver, 86, of Waynesboro, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Oliver was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on January 21, 1940, a daughter of the late Nicholas Joseph Mawyer, Sr. and Martha Elizabeth (Martin) Mawyer. She was an active member of Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, reading her bible faithfully, working her flower garden, doing puzzles and having cookouts at the holidays. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Oliver was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Theron Rowzie and her second husband, Charles Harmon Oliver; a brother, Nicholas J. Mawyer, Jr.; and a sister, Nancy L. Snider. Surviving, are two sons, Timothy W. Rowzie (Karen) of Stuarts Draft, and Tony Allen Rowzie (Mary Reed) of Grottoes; a daughter, Tamara Lynn Moore (M.C. Hunt) of Covesville; a step-son, Charles H. Oliver, II (Wendy) of South Carolina; a step-daughter, Cherri Lynn Boitnott (Dean) of Boones Mill; two brothers, Clarence T. Mawyer, and John E. Mawyer (Sue), and a sister, Janet Wiseman all of Waynesboro; special friends, Ronnie and Nancy Fitzgerald; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Augusta Memorial Park by Rev. Paul LaPrevotte. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Augusta Health Foundation, c/o Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O. Box 1000, Fishersville, Virginia 22939 or Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church, 901 Shenandoah Ave, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
