Donna K Brown peacefully passed away on August 7, 2024, to join her beloved husband of 44 years, William (Will) J Brown, in a joyous reunion in the arms of the Lord. Donna found immense joy in her role as a devoted wife and mother, cherishing her daughter Catina Turner and son-in-law Duane Turner with all her heart. After a courageous battle on earth, she is now healed and at peace in the embrace of God's kingdom.

Donna's strength, independence, and zest for life defined her character. She lived life on her terms, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer her unwavering support to those in need. Her boundless love and generous spirit touched the lives of her extensive family, including her six brothers, Frank Childress (Carol), Lee Childress, Dale Childress, Richard Childress (Marcie), Mike Childress and Jeff Childress; four sisters Sandra Wiseman, Jeanette Reid (Robert), Cindy Wine (Craig), and Glenda Truslow; and special nieces, nephews, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A true free spirit and creative soul, Donna will be remembered for her artistic talents in quilting, art, poetry, and gardening. Her gardens bloomed with the most exquisite flowers, reflecting her passion for beauty and nature. She had a keen eye for antiques, enjoyed thrift store treasures, and excelled in the art of decorating, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and creativity.

Donna's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the paracentesis team at Augusta Health, the compassionate palliative team including Ben Stovall, and the dedicated loving care provided by the staff at Shenandoah Hospice House.

There will be a celebration of Donna's life held on August 23, 2024 at 6pm at Destiny Family Center, 36 Rose Ave., Stuarts Draft with Pastor Chuck Balsamo officiating.
