Donna Kay Moser

September 11, 1941 - May 31, 2025

Donna Kay Moser, 83, of Rockingham, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community.

She was born on September 11, 1941 and was a daughter of Orval and Carol (Shultz) Dangerfield.

Donna grew up in West Virginia. Graduated St. Albans High School. She married Allen Judy on 12/20/1958, married Thomas P. Moser 7/11/1981, who preceded her in death.

While in Richmond she attended John Tyler Community College and J. Sergeant Reynolds working toward her four-year degree in business. The family moved to Chesterfield County (south of Richmond) in the early 1960's, Donna worked part time as an assistant bookkeeper for a Printing Ink company while her son was in grade school so that she would have off any time David was out of school. In the mid-seventies, she started working for First & Merchants as Supervisor of Commercial Loans. This was the security area for Commercial Loans to make sure the loan officers were not rolling over loans. Also, when First and Merchants would purchase smaller banks she would travel, reviewing their loan sheets and preparing the loans for their system.

In the mid 1980's she transferred to the Consumer side as a teller/new accounts person. She was promoted to Operation Supervisor with eleven tellers reporting to her. In June of 1988 she was promoted to Assistant Manager in Shenandoah. This was not an officer position, so she posted for the Assistant Manager in Woodstock and later she was promoted to Manager and Officer for Bank of America in Woodstock. She retired from Bank of America after 28 years of service.

She has been active with SVTPP as treasurer and later leader for Harrisonburg/Rockingham County. She stepped down when she became Vice Chair for Rockingham County and later as Unit Chair. For four years (2 terms) Donna was Treasurer for the 6th District Republican Committee. She served as Treasurer for the Freedom Caucus of Western Virginia and also Treasurer for the Freedom Caucus Pac. She also holds a First Friday Luncheon at Wood Grill with speakers running for various offices. She worked with AFP helping conservative candidates get elected. She also served on the executive Board of Massanutten Patriots.

Donna is survived by her son, David Judy and wife Kim; grandson, D. Kyle Judy; extended family and friends.

A service celebrating Donna's life will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater, with Chaplain David Kite officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
