Dennis Wayne Hill

Dennis Wayne Hill, 80, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Brookdale Assisted Living.

He was born on July 26, 1944 in Rockingham County and was a son of Willard H. and Marie (Layman) Hill.

Dennis retired from Reynolds Metals. He was a member of Montezuma Church of the Brethren. Dennis was a lifetime member and past president of the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Dept., joining in 1966.

Dennis was united in marriage twice. First to Jane (Spitler) Hill on June 19, 1964, who preceded him in death on April 20, 1997, and then to Judith (Wagner) Hill on October 30, 1999.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Tina Zambrano & husband Fernando, and Shannon Hill; four step-children, Kenneth Wheelbarger & wife Misti, Tammy Hartman & husband Mark, Joy Roadcap & husband Steve, and David Wheelbarger & wife Ann; two sisters, June Cooley and Shirley Robinson & husband Roland; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating Dennis's life will be held on March 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Montezuma Church of the Brethren with Pastor Terri Luzynski officiating. Honors will be provided by the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company.

The family will receive friend following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montezuma Church of the Brethren Relief Fund or the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company.
