Dee Tomlinson

WEST AUGUSTA – Deanna Dahlen “Dee” Tomlinson, 83, died Saturday, November 26, 2022.

Born June 12, 1939 in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Gunnar Tore Dahlen and Muriel (Peterson) Dahlen.

Dee was employed by the City of Chesapeake for over 20 years, retiring as chief deputy city clerk. Upon retirement, she and her beloved husband Hank Tomlinson moved to West Augusta. Dee enjoyed crafting of all sorts, especially knitting and crocheting. She was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years on June 25, 2021.

Surviving are three children, Frank Howard and wife Anne of Nags Head, N.C., Melinda Salabarria and husband Frank of Poquoson, Marsha Goodwin of Gates, N.C.; a brother, Glenn Dahlen and wife Judy of Marietta, Ga.; six grandchildren, Jorgen Bosquet, Jessen Howard, Erin Burns and husband Roger, Evan Bowen and wife Lindsey, Morgan Wolford and husband Brian, and Matthew Copeland; and five great-grandchildren, Bowen and Sadie Burns, Liam Wolford, and Meryl and Marlice Bosquet.

A celebration of Dee’s life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25 in St. Peters' Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Rod Ronneberg.  The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
