Debra Gail McCormick
Debra Gail McCormick, 62, of Fishersville, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at her residence.Â
Ms. McCormick was born in Richmond, Virginia on March 30, 1961, a daughter of the late Jasper Owen âVirginia Wild-Manâ McCormick, Sr. and Annette Lee âSwingerâ (Browder) McCormick.
Debra was a member of Rankin United Methodist Church, retired from Home Instead Senior Care, and was a member of the Country Music Association. Debra catered under the name of âJoeâs Chuck Wagon Gangâ for many country music stars including, Confederate Railroad, George Jones, Ronnie McDowell and Kentucky Headhunters. She also drove a tractor trailer and was the main care-giver for her parents. Â Â
In addition to her parents, Ms. McCormick was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent McCormick.
Surviving, is a sister, Lisa Dale McCormick of Waynesboro and a brother, Jasper âOwenâ McCormick, Jr. and wife, Diane of Verona; numerous aunts, uncles and many cousins and her special feline companion âBaileyâ.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.Â
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2024 in Rankin Chapel Cemetery by Pastor Billy Coffey.Â

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
