Deborah "Debbie" Jean Simmons

Deborah Jean "Debbie" Simmons, 75, of Mount Solon, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Life Care Center of New Market.

She was born on March 8, 1950 and was a daughter of the late Kirt and L. Cathryn (Michael) Simmons.

Debbie graduated from Central York High School in York, PA. She received her LPN Certificate from York Hospital. She retired from Rockingham Memorial Hospital as a RN. She was a member of Stokesville Community Church. Debbie loved animals, especially cats, feeding the deer and birds and visiting with family and friends. She loved traveling with her family, playing jokes on her cousin Dale, and sitting under the carport.

Debbie is survived by her niece, Jodi Matthews & husband Cameron; uncle, Ernest Michael; and several cousins and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Simmons; nephew, Daniel Simmons, II; her cousin Brenda Corbett and many aunts & uncles.

A service celebrating Debbie's life will be held on October 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater with Pastor Angie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Church Cemetery. A time of sharing will be available during the service.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
