David "Tucker" William Smith

David William "Tucker" Smith, 87, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Blue Ridge Health and Nursing.

He was born on May 12, 1939 and was a son of the late Dave John and Rebecca (Malcolm) Smith.

Tucker had worked on numerous farms and did odd jobs in Augusta County and Rockingham County.

Tucker is survived by his siblings, Stover "Doc" Smith, Robert "Bob" Smith, Daisy Huff, and Dorothy Drake; his caregivers, Charles & Betsy Curry, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jacob "Jigger" Smith (his twin brother), Mary Cook, Rose Pitsenbarger, Virginia Smith, Albert "Bill" Smith, Edward Smith, John Smith, and James Smith.

A service celebrating Tucker's life will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel in Bridgewater. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
