David Lee Elyard

David Lee Elyard, 76, of Rockingham, Virginia passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at his home.

He was born on February 16, 1949 and was a son of the late William Lee Elyard and Mabel Virginia (Ruddle) Elyard.

David had worked at Merck as a Chemical Operator.

David loved being on the water. He enjoyed water skiing, boating, and spending long days outdoors with family and friends. At home, he took real pride in yard work, always keeping things just the way he liked them. He also had a genuine love for live music.

David was united in marriage to Cynthia (Brickman) Elyard who survives.

David is survived by two children, Carey Fulk and Brandon Elyard; and two grandchildren, Mason Fulk and Emerie Elyard.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2025 at Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service, Bridgewater Chapel.
