David L. Jones

David Luther Jones, 61, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at King’s Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton. He was born on May 18, 1965, in Maryland to the late Raymond Luther and Darlene Joyce Griffin Tyson. David worked for many years as a welder, a trade that reflected his hardworking nature and skill with his hands. Outside of work, David enjoyed the simple things in life. He could often be found passing the time working on word searches, playing handheld games, and watching Star Trek. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Moira Kirkpatrick Jones whom he married in 1988; his daughter, Bethany Marie Jones and her fiancé, Uilliam Brayden Anthony Klemann; his brother, Paul David Tyson; his sister, Robin Lynn Kirkpatirick and her husband, David Walton Kirkpatrick; and numerous nieces and nephews. At this time there are no services to announce. Henry Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
