David Franklin Glick

David Franklin Glick, 68, of Montezuma, Virginia, passed away on June 3, 2026, at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his children.

Born on March 14, 1958, in Rockingham County, Virginia, David was the son of the late Betty Jo (Moyers) Glick and Jim Glick.

David is survived by his daughter, Hannah (Glick) Vozzo and husband, Chris; his son, Aaron Glick and wife, Alexa; his beloved grandchildren, Josie Glick and Matteo David Vozzo; his sister, Cynthia McNett and her husband, Kenneth; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Glick.

David spent most of his life in west Rockingham County, Virginia. He graduated from Turner Ashby High School in 1976 and went on to attend Virginia Tech, graduating in 1980. A proud Hokie, he remained a lifelong supporter of his alma mater.

David had a deep appreciation for agriculture and especially enjoyed gardening. He loved spending time at the beach, particularly in the Outer Banks, but his heart always belonged to the mountains of Virginia and the close-knit community he called home. A devoted member of Montezuma Church of the Brethren and a proud Ruritan, David valued faith, family, and fellowship throughout his life.

For many years, David owned and operated Full Moon Inc., a painting business through which he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of those he served. He was known for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand.

Music was one of David's greatest joys. He especially enjoyed Southern rock, classic rock, and traditional country music, and there was rarely a day without music playing nearby.

David will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Montezuma Church of the Brethren in Dayton with Pastor Terri Luzynski officiating . The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Montezuma Church of the Brethren.
