Daniel Louis McCray

Daniel Louis McCray, 68, of Grottoes, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at University of Virginia Medical Center.

He was born on March 16, 1958 and was a son of Shirley Ann McCray Burress and the late Louis McCray.

Daniel had worked as a line worker for DuPont.

Daniel was united in marriage to Audrey Jean (Adams) McCray who will love and miss him tremendously.

Daniel is survived by a daughter, Kelly McCray; a step-daughter, Wendy Watson; a brother, Mike McCray; two sisters, Debbie (Tim) Jenkins and Tammy Williams; numerous grandchildren; One Great-Grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Montana Rose Figgins.

A graveside service celebrating Daniel's life will be held on June 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Edgewood Cemetery with Chaplain Dave Kite officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Grottoes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
