Cynthia S. Wine

MOUNT SIDNEY – Cynthia S. Wine, 65, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday (July 11, 2023) in her home.

Born December 14, 1957 in Fullerton, Maryland, she was a daughter of Charlotte (Fox) Sprouse and the late Dallas Harris Sprouse. She graduated from Buffalo Gap High School in 1976, and was employed by the transportation department of Augusta County Schools prior to retirement.

Cindy was passionately involved in the lives of her grandchildren; she loved to encourage them, and faithfully supported them in all their school and athletic pursuits. Her beloved grandchildren are Carter Fink, Landon Fridley, Lance Fridley, Drake Fink, Bryson Fink, and Sadie Wine.

Cindy is also survived by her husband of 29 years, Jeffrey D. Wine; her mother of Fishersville; her children, Damian Fink and wife Angie of Verona, Devon Fridley of Weyers Cave, and Chase Wine and wife Brooke of Mt. Sidney; and three sisters and one brother.

The family is thankful to sisters Tanny Hildebrand and Sheila Puckett for their help during these difficult days; and is also grateful for the thoughtful care given by the staff of Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 14 in Mount. Pisgah United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Ashley Oliver Thomas, with burial in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Claytor, Matt Pritt, Ryan Byrd, Tee Miller, Allen Brooks, and Jeff Miller

A reception in the church fellowship hall will follow the services.
