Constance "Connie" McDonald

Constance “Connie” McDonald, 86, of Edinburg, VA passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center. 

Connie was born in Bedford, OH on June 13, 1938, a daughter of the late Henry John Norris, Sr. and the late Ellen Mae Whitling Norris.  She was a graduate of Strasburg High School, worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide and was a devoted homemaker.  Mrs. McDonald was a member of the Valley Fellowship Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Edinburg, VA.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donnie Lewis McDonald, Sr., a son Gregory J. McDonald, Sr. and siblings Gerald Norris, Vern “Butch” Norris, and Henry John Norris, Jr.

Survivors include her children Elaine Reedy (James) of Appomattox, VA, Donnie L. McDonald, Jr. of Edinburg, VA, Denise Hamous (Steve) of Sierra Vista, AZ, and James S. McDonald (Christina) of Edinburg, VA; her grandchildren Michael Reedy, David Reedy, Cindi McDonald, Jonathan McDonald, Aaron Hamous, Gregory McDonald, Jr., Steven McDonald, Timmy McDonald, and Riley McDonald; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother Dennis Norris (Shelva) of New Market, VA along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A celebration of life service for Mrs. McDonald will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Valley Fellowship Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 4392 Palmyra Church Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824, with Pastor Buz Menhardt officiating.  Mrs. McDonald w ill be laid to rest privately.  The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service and immediately following the service.
