Charles "Eddie" Edwin Jackson

November 26, 1936 - April 18, 2025

Charles Edwin “Eddie” Jackson, 88, husband of Dorothy Lee (Helmick) Jackson, of Staunton, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Staunton Post Acute and Rehab following a lengthy illness. 
Mr. Jackson was born in Craigsville, Virginia on November 26, 1936, a son of the late Aubrey Burnett Jackson, Sr. and Margaret Virginia (Hartman) Jackson. 
Eddie attended St. Paul’s Church of Staunton before his illness. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Hershey Chocolate of Virginia in 2001, where he worked as a relief operator in the processing department. 
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by two sons, infant William Jackson and Timothy Dale “Timmy” Jackson; two brothers, James Franklin “Jimmy” Jackson and Aubrey Burnett Jackson, Jr.; a niece, Karen Jackson; a nephew, Mark Jackson; and a sister-in-law Betty Lou (Ballengee) Jackson.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 34 years, is a daughter, Teena (Jackson) Hennigan and her husband, Patrick of Stuarts Draft; a daughter-in-law, Bridgett Jackson of Craigsville; a step-son, Douglas Sirk and his wife, Cathy of Arizona; a step-daughter, Cathy Wilkins and her husband, Rick of Churchville; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren and one on the way; a niece; and a nephew.
Per Mr. Jackson’s request all services will be private.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
