For almost 30 years he wrote weekly letters to his extended family by the postal service describing an assortment of family milestones, accomplishments, and simple, everyday events in the lives of those he loved. His letters became the information glue that held the family together.
Charlie enjoyed a good joke. He prided himself in always having a daily joke or pun to share with family and friends. Until the very end, he sent a daily pun to family and friends via email, just to stay connected.
Mr. Schnur was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a lifelong (75 year) member of the Knights of Columbus.
