Charles "Charlie" Armentrout

Charles "Charlie" Armentrout, 65, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at his home.

He was born on July 9, 1958, and was a son of the late Alvin and Creela (Kline) Armentrout. Charlie was a member of the Broadway High School class of 1976.

Charlie retired from Partners Excavating following many years of independently operating his own trucking business.

Charlie joined the Bridgewater Fire Department in 1981 and served there for over four decades. He held various positions including Board Member, Chief Engineer, and President.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother-in-law John Tease.

Charlie is survived by his siblings, Jo Ellen (Danny) Perry, Terry Tease, Patsy (Dale) Dove, Kenneth (Susie) Armentrout, Pamela (Raymond) Hyser, Jackie (Danny) Rohrer, and Jeff (Sjaan) Armentrout. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews, 24 great nieces and nephews, and 14 great-great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00P PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater.

A service celebrating Charlie's life will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at noon at Turner Ashby High School with John Huddle and David Kite officiating. Burial will follow at Fellowship Community Cemetery.
