Charles Auburn Weese

Charles Auburn Weese, 44, of Staunton, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. Mr. Weese was born in Staunton, Virginia on August 16, 1981, a son of the late Charles Harper Weese and Alice Loraine (Torbett) Weese. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed playing video games, joking with family and friends, and keeping everyone laughing with his quick wit and sense of humor. Affectionately known as “MacGyver” by those who knew him best, he had a knack for fixing just about anything and was always working on a project. Above all, Charles loved spending time with his dogs, who brought him great joy and companionship. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James “Bo” Kerley, II. Surviving is his former wife, Jennifer Jackson; a son, Chance Gibson; two daughters, Emma Maxine Gibson and Brook Wolfe; a sister, Tina Howard; three nephews, Brandon Kerley, Chris Kerley, and Buddy Kerley; and a niece, Shelby Kerley. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
