Catherine B. Peters

DEERFIELD – Catherine Elaine (Bright) Peters, 75, of Deerfield, died Saturday (September 18, 2021) in her home.

Born December 13, 1945 in Deerfield, Va., she was a daughter of Robert Homer Bright and Mary Elizabeth (Rowe) Bright.  She was a graduate of Surrattsville High School in Clinton, Md.

Catherine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a faithful member of Deerfield Baptist Church where she played the organ for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Dale Peters; and two sisters, Frances Henderson and Wanda Hetrick.  Surviving are a son Larry Gene Lewis and wife Nanette of Deerfield; two sisters, Barbara Morgan and Erma Byrd; brothers Kenny and Kelly Cain; grandson Dustin Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 21 in Deerfield Community Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Curtis Crawford.
