Carolyn Gail Whitmore

Carolyn Gail (Lam) Whitmore, age 70, of Grottoes, passed away, on Monday, October 2, 2023, at her home.

She was born July 19, 1953 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late John Paul Lam and Irene Elizabeth Lam. She was united in marriage to Jerry Whitmore, who preceded her in death.

Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and loved her two pugs, Bella and Chloe. She was a member of Ray of Hope Church in Harrisonburg.

Carolyn is survived by a brother Steven Lam and wife Kathy; sister Denise Stoneburner and husband John; three nephews and three nieces, Steve America and partner Kate, Cynthia Hill, Jennifer Morris and husband Wesley, Jonathan Lam and partner Sarah, Kristiana Arellano and husband Lupe, and Conner Stoneburner; one aunt, Reva Allen; one uncle William Randall. She is also survived by six great nieces, three great nephews, two great-great nephews; numerous cousins and special friends.

The family will receive friends between 11:00AM - 12:00 PM, Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, in Grottoes. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM.
