Bryan Allen Bland

Bryan Allen Bland, 90, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born on March 6, 1935 and was a son of the late Russell Lee and Ona (Judy) Bland.

Bryan worked for Owens Illinois Plastic Company for 34 years before retiring. After retirement he recycled cardboard and enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors.

Bryan was united in marriage in 1959 to Loretha June (Puffenbarger) Bland, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Bryan is survived by son, Gary Bland and wife Beth; daughter, Karen Mongold and husband Donnie; grandchildren, Allison Embrey and husband John, Dillon Bland and companion, Taylor Fix, Courtney Valladares and husband Isaac, and Jordan Kile; great grandchildren, Tenley Embrey, Grey Embrey, Levi Valladares, Adelynn Valladares, Kallie Valladares, and Lincoln Valladares; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Herman Bland and Dale Bland.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater with Pastor Randy Miller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
