Bridgette Randozzo
We are envious of heaven as they gained an angel on May 9th, 2026, when God welcomed Bridgette Whitmer Randozzo home. Bridgette was 66 years old when she passed away at Augusta Health surrounded by the ones that loved her most.
Bridgette was born in Virginia in 1959 to the late Oscar Lewis Whitmer and Margie Jane Whitmer. She grew up in the Clifton Forge area where her dad built numerous houses and owned a general store. She had a hard life growing up, but it shaped her into the amazing woman that we knew and loved.
As she grew in life, she developed a love for: nature, horses, the beach, and Harleys. She attended Dabney Community College for two years and shortly after she met the love of her life, Joe Randozzo, they were married for over 41 years at her passing. They loved each other deeply and carved out their own corner of the world in Millboro where they raised their two children, Joseph Thomas and Bonnie Nicole. Bridgette spent much of her time taking care of their home and land, caring for their numerous animals, and making sure everyone was fed and happy. She always stood out with her beautiful and unique style. She wore her heart on her sleeve, and was never afraid to let you know what she thought. Bridgette’s children grew into adults that reflect her same values. She boasted to anyone who would listen, how proud she was of her children. Joseph married his high school sweetheart, Trista Propst, who God graced with their son, Walker Randozzo. Bonnie married her high school sweetheart, Jonathan Kruger, and God graced them with their daughters Aleathea Kruger, Katherine Kruger, and Adaline Kruger. Bridgette loved her grandkids beyond what words can describe and she tried to spend as much time as she could spoiling them and letting them know how much she loved them.
Toward the end of her life, she physically struggled with health issues, but she was just as strong-willed and caring as ever. She pressed on through dialysis and doctor’s appointment after doctor’s appointment so she could get as much out of life and as much time with her family as possible.
In addition to her parents, Bridgette is preceded in death by her sister Bonnie Finney, her brother-in-law Edward Finney and her brother, Steve Whitmer.
Though she is gone, she will never be forgotten. Her story, love, values, strength, and morals will continue through her husband Joe Randozzo, her children, and her grandchildren.
A private service will be held at a later date to honor this extraordinary woman.
