Brian Glen Robertson

The family of Brian Glen Robertson announces his passing on Monday, June 1, 2026, at his home in Grottoes, Virginia. Born on July 19, 1943, he was the son of the late Robert and Jane (Truzzolino) Robertson and on August 7, 1965, was united in marriage with Mary Alice (McCormick) Robertson, who survives.

Brian is also survived by three sons and their families: Brian and his wife JoDee of Fort Collins, CO, Matthew and his wife Amy, of Port Republic, VA, and David and his wife Kimberly of Broadway, VA. , and grandchildren Jelsea, Casey (Zac), Madison ( fiancé Cy), Genevieve, Matthew, Josephine, Natalie, Jonathan, and MaryBeth (Robert), and great-grandchildren Casey, Miley, and Rhett.

After serving in the U.S. Army from 1964-1967, he earned a B.S. of Chemical Engineering from Clarkson College (University) and embarked on a 30 year career at Merck and Co. in Elkton, VA.

Although spending time with family was his greatest joy, his life was also enriched by deep relationships with friends, taking courses with JMU Lifelong Learning Institute, extensive travel, reading, playing bridge, country dancing, and walking the pathways at Grand Caverns Park.

With his character deeply rooted in courtesy, consideration, and compassion, we ask you perform an act of kindness toward someone as a way to honor your memory of Brian in lieu of funeral home visitation and services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
