Brandon Kyle Powers, 22, of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at his residence.
Mr. Powers was born in Fishersville, Virginia on January 24, 2003, the son of Sheila Nicole Powers and Joseph Allen Epling.
Brandon was a graduate of Riverheads High School and pursued welding following graduation.
He was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. With a heart of gold and a natural gift for making others laugh, Brandon had a way of lighting up any room he entered. He cherished his time with family, friends, and his siblings, and held a deep and special love for his grandparents.
Brandon had a passion for fast cars and motorcycles, and found peace in the outdoors—whether it was fishing, hiking, or simply being surrounded by nature. Music was another of his great loves, often serving as the soundtrack to his adventurous and kind-hearted spirit.
Known for his generous nature, Brandon would do anything to help someone in need. He was the kind of person who brought joy, comfort, and laughter wherever he went—leaving behind memories that will be treasured forever.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his maternal grandparents, Roger and Brenda Stacy, affectionately known as “Dad” and “Mom” to Brandon; maternal grandfather, Rickey Powers; his great-grandmothers, Doris Lee and Mary Powers; step-father, Miguel Ballina; step-mother, Kimberly Ellington; brother, Travis Stacy; sisters, Savannah Powers, Brittany Varner, Emberly Varner, and Alaina Statler; half-sisters, Emily and Gracie Epling; his furry friend and sidekick, “Ella”; aunts, Deana Morris, Kayla Stacy, Amy Stacy, and April Powers; uncles, Robert Morris, Steven Ringley, Kenneth Morris, and Rickey Powers, Jr.; great-aunts, Doris Laplant and Susie Windsor; and numerous cousins and friends.
