In Loving Memory of Bob Diehl, Sr.

Bob Diehl Sr., 88, passed away to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 7th, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to his family.

Bob was known for his warm heart, quiet strength, and the genuine care he showed to those around him. He lived a life grounded in strong values, treating others with respect and compassion and always making time for the people who mattered most. His steady presence and sense of humor brought comfort and joy to family and friends alike.

A man of faith, Bob found comfort and guidance in his belief in God throughout his life. His family takes solace in knowing that he is now at peace and reunited with those who have gone before him.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Lois Diehl; his daughter, Pam Morris and his beloved grandchildren, DJ Morris, Kelsey Stephens and Dustin Diehl.

He was preceded in death by parents, Silas Jacob Diehl and Inez Ruth (Morris) Diehl; son, Bobby Diehl, Jr., and brother Jerry Diehl.

Bob was proud of his family and treasured the time he spent with them. The lessons he shared, the stories he told, and the love he gave will remain with them always.

Though his passing leaves a profound emptiness, those who knew and loved Bob find comfort in the many wonderful memories they shared with him and in the lasting impact he had on their lives. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply and in the countless lives he touched throughout his 88 years.

Bob will be remembered with love, gratitude, and affection. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Grottoes, with Pastor Kevin Persinger officiating. Burial will follow at Port Republic Mutual Cemetery. The family will receive friends between 6:00PM and 8:00PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the funeral home.
