Billie "Marcum" Rachol

Billie (Marcum) Rachol, 74, widow of Samuel J. Rachol, formerly of Greenville, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Brookdale of Staunton.
Mrs. Rachol was born in Augusta County, Virginia on October 6, 1948, daughter of the late Fred C. Marcum and Margaret (Terry) Marcum.
Billie was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was a self-employed caterer. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, tending to her rose gardens, and thrift shopping.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Rachol was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Beverley Ann (Shifflett) Marcum; a brother-in-law, Whitney Parrish; and a special friend, Tommy H. Rachol.
Surviving, are three sons, Mark E. Brown of Staunton, Paul M. Brown and his wife, Christy of Stuarts Draft, and Phillip T. Brown and his wife, Michelle of Greenville; three brothers, Grover T. Marcum and Janette of Staunton, James F. Marcum of Staunton, and Charles E. Marcum of Vesuvius; four sisters, Joyce “Jo” Perry and her husband, Don of Stuarts Draft, Margaret “Tooncie” Chandler and her husband, Robert of Staunton, Dixie Parrish of Staunton, and Catherine “Cathy” Crouch and her husband, Vernon of Petersburg; seven grandchildren, Amber, Aaron, Zack, Whitney, Hannah and her husband, Brent, Alex, and Katie; two great grandchildren, Odyssey and Ezra; and special friends, Donna and Bill Atkins.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Rader Ogden. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. 
Entombment will follow in Oaklawn Mausoleum. 
Active pallbearers will be Ricky Perry, Tony Marcum, Timmy Marcum, Clay Chandler, Todd Lines, Andy Coffman, Lee Demers, and Robert Brooks.
