Bettie K. Arey

Bettie Marie Kiser Arey, 84, widow of James "J.C." Caricofe Arey, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at her residence in Staunton.
Bettie was born on July 27, 1939, to the late John Cleveland and Anna Ruth Brake Kiser.
She was a member of the Annex United Methodist Church. She loved shopping and life on the farm. She also enjoyed spending time with her special lifelong friends, Becky Young, Liz Gilbert, and Peggy Guffey.  She loved being “Gringy” to her beloved granddaughter, Jacie.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott C. and Belinda Arey; her granddaughter Jacie M. Arey; her step-grandsons Jeffrey M. and Anthony M. Randozzo; and her great grandsons Parker and Liam Randozzo.
In addition to her parents and her husband of fifty years, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John J., Albert A., Wade A., and Henry J. Kiser; and her sisters Nellie Ruth Florence (Kiser) Hunter and Dorothy P. (Kiser) Brown.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Henry Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Wright Memorial Garden with Pastor Blair C. O'Quinn and Pastor Russell Heinrich officiating.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Randozzo, Steve Puffenbarger, James Brown, Mike Huff, Mark Smith, Mark Hodge and Rodney Lam.
