Bertha M. Crum

February 7, 1936 - June 29, 2026

VERONA – Bertha Mae (Moneymaker) Crum, 90, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026 in Brookdale Staunton.

Born February 7, 1936 in Mount Solon, she was a daughter of Willie James and Lennis Frances (Michael) Moneymaker. Bertha graduated from North River High School. She was employed at the Staunton Correctional Center prior to retirement, and had previously been employed by Planters Bank and a local pharmacy. She was a member of Cherryvale United Methodist Church, and enjoyed volunteer work until her health declined, particularly enjoyed supporting the lunch program at Trinity Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert E. “Bob” Good; her son, Ronald Lee Good; her daughter, Phyllis Good Williams; and nephews James Wilson Sheets and Charles William Landes.

Surviving are her devoted husband of nearly 60 years, Roy O. Crum; sisters Eddie Landes of Bridgewater and Katherine Sheets of Churchville; niece Linda Sheets Ebel and husband Eric; nephew Donald Ross Landes and wife Kelli.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026 in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens, officiated by Pastor Jonathaon Greer. Pallbearers will be Eric Ebel, Donald Landes, Jerry Reeves, Greg Bussiere and Noah Bussiere.

Memorials may be directed to Cherryvale United Methodist Church.

The family is grateful for the dedicated care of the staff of Brookdale Staunton and Hospice of the Shenandoah throughout their very challenging days.
