Bennie Earl Nesselrodt

Bennie Earl Nesselrodt, age 79, of Brandywine, WV, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA. He was born on June 24, 1944, in Harrisonburg, VA, the son of the late Emery Luther and Flodie (Miller) Nesselrodt. On December 13, 1963, Bennie married Judy Ellen (White) Nesselrodt, who preceded him in death on January 28, 2013. 

Bennie attended Franklin High School and was a member of the Brandywine Baptist Church. He had worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at Maphis Chapman until his retirement on March 21, 1978. Bennie loved spending time with his family.

Bennie leaves behind to cherish his memory: 3 sons, Terry Earl Nesselrodt (Debbie) of Brandywine, Tony Nesselrodt (Terri) of Mt. Clinton, VA, Bennie Lee “Skeeter” Nesselrodt (Carolyn) of Brandywine; 3 sisters, Libby Hoover (Woody) of Brandywine, Lillian Nesselrodt of Brandywine, Arlene Dahmer of Newark, DE; 8 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by: a son, David Wayne Nesselrodt; a granddaughter, Tiffany Nesselrodt; and 2 brothers, Tyson and Orvin Nesselrodt. 

Bennie's family will receive friends on Friday, October 13, 2023, 9-11 AM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Larry Danner officiating. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Brandywine, WV.
