Barbara Lou (White) Wright

Barbara Lou (White) Wright, 91, widow of Charles Luther Wright, Jr. passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at White Birch Assisted Living in Harrisonburg. 
Mrs. Wright was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on April 1, 1933, a daughter of the late Harry White and Alberta (Fisher) White. 
Barbara was a member of Barren Ridge Covenant Brethren Church. She retired from Augusta County Public Schools. Barbara was an avid reader and loved traveling with her family. She especially enjoyed Myrtle Beach. Barbara put herself into the service of others and enjoyed baking and giving to anyone who was in need. Her smile will be remembered by all who knew her. 
Surviving are two sons, Chuck Wright (Ruth) and Mark Wright (Shannon); a daughter, Patty Driver (Jeff); six grandchildren, Alicia Lambert (Josh), Daniel Wright (Fallon), Matthew Driver (Haley), Evan Driver (Alexis), Brooke Atkins, and Lindsay Atkins; seven great-grandchildren, Colton Lambert, Piper Lambert, Laina Lambert, Avery Wright, Collin Wright, Evelyn Grace Driver, and Akeila. Barbara is also survived by a sister, Diane Hollar.
 A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Barren Ridge Covenant Brethren Church by Pastors Henry and Janet Elsea.
Following the service, there will be a reception and the family will receive friends. 
Burial will be private in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Barbara’s memory, to Barren Ridge Covenant Brethren Church, 1790 Barrenridge Road, Staunton, Virginia 24401.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
