Aubrey Allen Griffey, 83, was reunited with his loving wife Rosie in heaven on August 3, 2025.
Aubrey was born in Strasburg, VA on March 7, 1942, son of the late Boyd Clifton and Nancy Francis Smith Griffey. After her passing, he loved telling stories about them growing up and keeping her memory alive. Aubrey also loved spending time with his nephew, Delmar Hines. Together they rebuilt Rosie’s 1963 Ford Galaxie Convertible. Aubrey loved watching and talking about sports with anyone who visited. He always looked forward to his visits and phone calls with his great grandchildren, Carsen and Madison, and his daily morning phone calls with Peggy. He spent his days loving and caring for his dog, Sweetie Pie, who kept him busy. In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by a sister Nancy Ann Hines.
