Arthur Ray Michael

Arthur Ray Michael, 92, of Bridgewater, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026 at the Bridgewater Home.

He was born on December 20, 1933 and was a son of the late Whitney and Carrie (Crum) Michael.

A. Ray had worked as a maintenance mechanic at Rocco prior to his retirement. He was a member of Bridgewater United Methodist Church, where he was the church sexton and active member of the mission team. He served his country in the US Army. He was a member of the Bridgewater/Dayton Lions Club.

A. Ray was united in marriage first to Thelma (Stroop) Michael, who preceded him in death on June 11, 2013. He was later wed to Shirley Creekbaum Michael, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Barbara Eanes & husband Jamie; grandson, Matthew Williams & wife Kendall; granddaughters, Abigail Geiger & husband Matthew, Rebecca Russell & husband Caleb, and Maren Eanes; two sisters, Wona Faye Puffenbarger, and Lois Lam & husband Herbert: step children, Sheryl Meade & husband Kevin, Bill Creekbaum & wife Laurie; step grandchildren, Sarah Long & husband Taylor, Rachael Webb and Delaney Creekbaum.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Scott Michael and his first wife, Thelma A. Michael.

A service celebrating A. Ray's life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bridgewater United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard Bensinger and Jim Tongue officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
