Art Hooton

Arthur Hooton of Riverton, West Virginia died Monday, June 5, 2023 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin, West Virginia, with his dear friend and companion, Mary Baldwin, by his side.
Art and his wife, Maggie, who predeceased him, were homesteaders on Timber Ridge for the better part of 45 years.  When these two transplants from Connecticut found their property, they knew it was “almost heaven”, appreciating that fact through the love they gave to the land and community.
Art’s family wishes to thank the caregivers and staff at Pendleton Manor for their creative, compassionate and attentive care of Art through a difficult illness.
Art’s remains will be joined with his wife, Maggie, who died in 2010.
Services and interment will be private.
