Anna Lyons Beard

Anna Lyons Beard, 85, of Waynesboro, passed away on Monday, October 2nd, 2023 at her home.
Anna was born in Lyndhurst, VA to Carrie (Ford) Lyons and James Lyons on April 30th, 1938.

She was married to Sterling Beard Jr and they enjoyed 47 years together. She worked for GE/Genicom as a relay technician for 32 years and attended Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Sterling; and nine siblings, James Lyons, Joseph Lyons, Franklin Lyons, Edna Thompson, John Lyons, Robert Lyons, Peggy Stephens, Patsy Massie and Eunice Wiseman.

Anna is survived by her sons; Jeff Beard and wife, Kerry of Chesapeake, Ronnie Beard and special friend, Crystal Wimer of Churchville, and Bo Wiseman and wife, Pam of Burleston, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Greg Beard and wife, Courtney of Suffolk, Tracey Beard and wife, Marissa of Chesapeake, Brian Beard of Virginia Beach, Todd Beard of Fishersville, Bret Wiseman and wife, Stacie, and Will Wiseman and wife, Ashley of Orlando, FL. In addition, Anna is survived by great-grandchildren; Colton and Cody Beard of Suffolk, and Bennett Wiseman, Beckett Wiseman and Wyatt Wiseman of Florida.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes on Saturday, October 7th, 2023 at 2:00PM with Tommy Smith officiating. Anna will be laid to rest at Augusta Memorial Park on Monday, October 9th at 10:00 AM.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Todd Beard, Tracey Beard, T.J. Wilkins, Greg Beard, Brian Beard and Nathan Beasley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 6th at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick funeral home.
