Anna Conley
Anna Ruth (Beverly) Conley, 78, of Toms Brook, VA passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Winchester, VA.
Anna was born in Pikeville, KY on March 4, 1946, a daughter of late Newton and Pearl Yates Beverly. Anna was deeply rooted to her Appalachian heritage and shared her love of genealogy with her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Lighthouse Freewill Baptist Church in Maurertown, VA and retired from Virginia Power in Woodstock. Anna devoured books with an insatiable hunger, losing herself in their pages for hours on end. With a deep love for literature, she not only cherished every story but also wove her own emotions into beautifully crafted poems. She was known for her warm smile and captivating dance moves. Anna will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to dance in our hearts forever. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters June, Nona, Helen, Barbara, Avonelle, Eleanor and Lavonne; her brothers Dank, Olla, Roosevelt and Arlen.
Survivors include her children Richard Conley and wife Melanie of Strasburg, VA, Evelyn Richard and husband Bubby of Toms Brook, VA; her brother Robie Beverly and wife Judy of Scipio, IN; her grandchildren Wesley Conley (Jackie), Nathan Richard, and Hannah Conley; her five great grandchildren and a special extended family member Debbie Miller along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Anna will be laid to rest privately at the Smallwood-Beverly Cemetery in Dorton, Pike County, KY.
