Anna Bell Hartman

Anna Bell Hartman, 91, widow of Ralph William Hartman, of Staunton passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. She was born in Monterey, Virginia on May 30, 1935, a daughter of the late Emory and Virginia (Gwin) Hartman and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Anna retired from Genesco after 47 years. She enjoyed reading and the beauty of flowers. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Hartman; her brothers, Lloyd Hoover, Tucker Hoover, and Bill Hoover; and her sisters, Margie Landrum, Mary Hoover, Shirley Welcher, Ruth Woods, Nellie Woods, and Betty Hoover. She is survived by her daughter, Jenny Hogsett (Donnie Sr.); daughter-in-law, Debbie Hartman, with whom Anna made her home; grandchildren, Barbara Buchanan (Mike), Danny Hartman, Stephanie Houston (Sam), and Donnie Hogsett, Jr. (Deana); great-grandchildren, Kristan Masker (Brett), Derek Collier (Schyler), Steve Buchanan, Alyssa Shaffer (Henley), Addison Hartman, Gage Hartman, Dylan Hogsett (Sheryl), and Dalton Hogsett; great-great grandchildren, Jaxson and Landon Masker, Wesley Ingram, Cooper McPherson, Freya Collier, and Jayce Shaffer; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mike Buchanan, Danny Hartman, Gage Hartman, Derek Collier, Donnie Hogsett, Jr., and Dalton Hogsett. Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
