Agnes Good Powell

Agnes Good Powell of Harrisonburg, Virginia passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 16, 2025.

She was born November 8, 1925 to the late Charles William and Clara Ellen Link Good. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Powell, Sr. an infant daughter, a brother and wife, Martin L. and Martha Good, a sister and husband, Danie G. and Eugene Wise, a sister and husband, Adele G. and Richard Coakley, a brother, C. Ivan Good.

Agnes attended Mt. Sidney High School, Dunsmore Business College, Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) and was a Hospice Volunteer for a number of years. She was a member of Muhlenberg Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two daughters Jacalyn P. Pfeiffer, of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Marlene P. Minzey of Sarasota, Florida, one son, Roy B. "Breck" Jr. and wife Karen Powell of Fishersville, Virginia, a sister-in-law, Wilma L. Good of Mt. Sidney, Virginia, three grandchildren, Shannon M. Pfeiffer and partner Tracy Uriegas, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jeffery C. Pfeiffer and wife Gabrielle, of Manakin-Sabot, Virginia, Todd A. Minzey and wife Jamie of Sarasota, Florida, a step-grandchild, Meghan E. Dowker and husband Kevin of Arlington, Virginia, five great-grandchildren, Alexandria E. "Allie" Minzey and Everly A. Minzey of Sarasota, Florida, Nancie M. Pfeiffer, Guy C. Pfeiffer, Conrad B. Pfeiffer of Manakin-Sabot, Virginia. Also a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 11 AM at Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater. Burial will follow at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pastor Alex Zuber will officiate.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Legacy Hospice, especially to Rachel and Loretta for the care and compassion given during each visit.
