Willie Gene Shiflett

Willie Gene Shiflett, 52, of Jeff Gordon’s Lane in Goshen, Virginia, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at his residence.
Mr. Shiflett was born on December 13, 1971 in Virginia, a son of the late Leo Shiflett, Jr. and Doris Dean (Fitzgerald) Raines.
Willie enjoyed playing music and tinkering with cars and watches.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shiflett was preceded in death by his step-father, Richard “Rick” Raines; an uncle, Claude “Glennie” Fitzgerald; and a nephew, Daniel Jones.
Survivors include a daughter, Catarina Kresge and her fiancé, Adam Kesterson of Staunton; step-father, Roger Bartley of Waynesboro; three brothers, Leo Shiflett, III of Jacksonville, Florida, Clay Bartley of Staunton and Steve Bartley of Waynesboro; three step-sisters, Amy Raines of Waynesboro, Amanda Sheets and husband, Patrick of Mt. Sidney and Amber McDaniel and husband, Steven of Charlottesville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024 in Faith Christian Church by Rev. Warren Knott.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
