William Morrison Earhart, 92, widower of Mildred EmaJayne (Campbell) Earhart, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Earhart was born on February 15, 1932, in Rockbridge County to the late Houston Harry and Carrie Jane (Morrison) Earhart.William was a devoted family man and leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. William also served his country for four years in the United States Navy and was involved in the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of Mount Carmel Presbyterian Church, a retired truck driver after 35 years with Smith's Transfer, and a member of the Teamsters Joint Council. William is survived by his loving children, his two sons, Robert Earhart and his wife, Kathy, and David Earhart; a daughter, Melanie Earhart; an aunt, Rose Snider; his eight grandchildren, Michael Earhart, Jr., Crystal Moore (Steven), Brandy Buchannon (Chase), Carrie Earhart, Alisha Earhart, Jacob Earhart, Blake Earhart (Hailey), and Nick Earhart; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.In addition to his parents and his loving wife of 67 years, his is preceded in death by his two sons, William Steven Earhart and Michael Timothy Earhart, Sr.; a daughter, Julie LeAnn Earhart; a grandson, Daniel Houston Earhart; and his sister, Ann Houston Earhart Snell.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Henry Funeral Home. Interment with military rites will follow at Mount Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Steeles Tavern.Serving as pallbearers will be Michael, Jacob, Blake, Nick, Michael Anthony and Marshall Earhart, Mike Fields and Grayson Goodrich.The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Marsh, Pam Whorley, and Connection Plus Healthcare Hospice.Rob would also like to express an extra special thank you to his wife, Kathy and children, Blake and Nick, for the years of providing the most exceptional care and his sister-in-law, Mazie Staton (Pussy Cat) for her unconditional love and support.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mount Carmel Presbyterian Church Building Fund (P.O.
