Wayne Harold Turner

Wayne Harold Turner, 83, of Crimora, Virginia passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at his home.

He was born on January 1, 1942 and was a son of the late Harold Lloyd Turner and Irene Augusta (Buddenhagen) Turner.

Wayne had worked as a fuel truck driver for Frederick's Fuel. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Wayne liked NASCAR, word searches, music, animals and Flannel shirts. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and with friends who made him laugh. He was a great tinkerer and kept his garage meticulous.

Wayne was united in marriage to Connie Mae (Fennimore) Turner for 59 years.

Wayne is survived by two children, Wayne (Kelley) Turner and Lauri Mattucci; a sister, Sandra Post; two grandchildren, Jillian Turner and Mackenzie Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Courtright.

A service celebrating Wayne's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at the Grottoes Chapel of Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wayne's memory to Hospice of the Shenandoah.
