Warren H. Morris
CHURCHVILLE – Warren Henry Morris, Jr., 85, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Born February 23, 1940 at Arbor Hill, he was a son of the late Warren Henry, Sr. and Catherine (Rankin) Morris. He was a 1957 graduate of Wilson Memorial High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran, and served in the Virginia Army National Guard. Warren was a life-long farmer, and was employed by E. I. DuPont for 37 years prior to retirement. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a long-time member of Jerusalem Chapel United Brethren in Christ Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Helen Pitsenbarger and Rachael Morris; and niece Kim Alley Simmons.
Surviving are his wife of nearly 60 years, Anna Gochenour Morris, whom he married on April 23, 1966; two sons, Chad Morris (wife Wanda) and Cliff Morris; brothers Robbie and Richard Morris; sisters Mary Back, Barbara Alley and Frances Pitsenbarger; and numerous nieces and nephews. Warren counted niece Karen Kuhn and her husband Jim as a daughter and son, and he enjoyed being “Paw Paw” to Camden Kuhn, Carson Kuhn and Camden’s son Branson Kuhn; and Porter Delp.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 6 at Jerusalem Chapel, officiated by Pastors Todd Yoder and George Etling. Burial will be held at a later date in Green Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Camden Kuhn, Carson Kuhn, Jim Kuhn, Jimmy Sheffer, Montgomery Gochenour, and Scott Morris.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Bear Funeral Home. Friends may also call at the home of Cliff Morris, 63 Lori Lane, Churchville.
