Vickie Markley

Vickie Jo Markley, 55, of Baker, WV passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, in Baker, WV.

Vickie was born in Winchester, VA, December 19, 1970, a daughter of the late Garland Eugene Steward and Vernicia Rae Plaugher Steward.  Vickie was a true caretaker by heart.  She worked as a CNA in home health care for many years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and just being around her family.

Survivors include her children William Jenkins, Justin Jenkins, and Bruce Jenkins; her fiancé Bobby Walker; her mother Vernicia Rae Steward; her brothers Ray Steward, and Denny Steward (Michelle) as well as many other friends and family members.

A Funeral service for Vickie will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Stover Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stover Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Steward, Masion Long, Samuel Miller, Brian Weliding, Chris Weliding, and Cory Pittington.
