Sylvia "Winkie" Elaine Bell Weaver, 78, of Staunton, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. She was the greatest mother, wife, and Nana imaginable. Born on May 3, 1946, in Staunton, she was the daughter of Howard Morgan and Ruth Virginia Staton Bell. Winkie dedicated her career as a nurses aid at Western State Hospital in Staunton, diligently serving from 1968 until her retirement in 2000. Her commitment to care and compassion marked her work and touched the lives of many in the community. Outside of her profession, Winkie enjoyed the simple joys of life, such as fishing and spending time in the great outdoors.A devoted Christian, she was deeply grounded in her faith, which was an integral part of her life and values. Winkie's nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication to her family made her a most caring and compassionate wife and mother.She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-nine years, Gary Weaver; her son, Mike Biby and his wife, Teresa of Fishersville; her daughters, Melissa Biby Showalter and her husband, Brent, of Harrisonburg, Tina Biby Hawkins and her husband, Rick, of Goochland, and Debbie Kaye Biby Billings and her husband, Cliff, of Stuarts Draft; her cherished grandchildren, Christopher Biby and his wife, Heather, Kim Biby Jones and her husband, Dustin, Jonathan Foxx, Jeremy Biby and his wife, Eliza, Morgan Hawkins Parrish and her husband, Hunter, and Kendall Hawkins; her great-grandchildren, Chad, Hannah, Parker, Cameron, Kalli, Loren, Lucy, and Hazel; and many special nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, James Bell, Sr. and Van Wesley Bell, Sr., and her sister, Barbara Bell Botkin.A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 PM.Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro.Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Biby, Jonathan Foxx, Jeremy Biby, Dustin Jones, Hunter Parrish, and Chad Biby.The family would like to especially thank Dr. John Marsh and his associates as well as the nurses and staff of Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah for all of their compassion, care, and kindness. It is suggested that those desiring may make memorial contributions to Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah (c/o Augusta Health Foundation, P.O.
