Susan Jane Willis

Susan Jane Willis, 75, of Bridgewater, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024. She was born May 29, 1949 to Odis and Phyllis Hilliard of Shenandoah. She married Steve Willis on June 22, 1973 who preceded her in death last year.

Susan graduated from Zion Bible Institute at East Providence Rhode Island, and retired from Tenneco-Walker Mfg after 43 years. She enjoyed reading, playing scrabble and loved shoes. She was a spiritual woman and a member of The First Assembly of God in Harrisonburg. She also was a hospice volunteer at RMH for 9 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Lynn Willis of Harrisonburg; and two siblings, Carolyn and Kathy Hilliard of Shenandoah.

A graveside service will begin at 1 PM on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Doug Gochenour officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harrisonburg First Assembly of God, 1310 Garbers Church Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
