Steven "Steve" Scott Hall

It is with great sadness that the family of Steve Hall announces his passing on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. 
Steve was born in Staunton, Virginia on July 20, 1955, a son of the late Bernard Lee “Bunny” Hall and Hilda (Hall) Richardson. 
Steve spent the majority of his career as a land surveyor. A member of Central United Methodist Church, was a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather.
Steve had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. He also had a passion for music and found great joy in playing. Generous with his time, he volunteered as a baseball and basketball coach for his son Mark’s teams, encouraging and guiding many young people over the years.  Later in life spending time with his grandchildren was his greatest joy.
Steve is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ruth Finch Hall; a son, Mark S. Hall and his wife, Emily of Charlottesville; a brother, Douglas D. Hall and his wife, Karen of Staunton; two grandchildren, Madelyn and Mason Hall; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
