Shirley Hall
Shirley Anne (Burnett) Hall, 91, of Waynesboro, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. She was born on May 1, 1933, a daughter of the late William H. and Lily M. (Morris) Burnett.
Shirley attended Waynesboro High School and worked at Fleming Foods of Waynesboro for many years. She later was employed at Business Financials. On May 9, 1953, she married the love of her life, Joe. F. Hall in Waynesboro, where they raised their son and were happily married for 63 years. She was an active member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; sisters, Phyllis Berry, Agatha Marshall, and Mabel Bell; brothers, Melvin, Vernon, and Archie Burnett.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Kenny Hall and wife, Sheryl; grandchildren: Aaron Hall and wife, Margaret and Eric Hall and Fiancée, Elizabeth Mason; great grandchildren, Olivia Hall, Addison Hall, Conor Brady, and Olivia Brady; as well as numerous special nieces and nephews.
Shirley and Joe so loved their family and spent their adult years enjoying special time with them. They took their son, nieces, and later their grandsons on many fun vacations and exciting trips.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Augusta Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend would be asked to meet at the cemetery.
A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, 364 Bridge Ave., Waynesboro, VA, 22980, with Rev. E.B. Shoemaker officiating.
Following a graveside service, the family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
There will be no viewing or formal visitation at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Waynesboro Church of the Brethren.
