Sherry Lynn Grissom

Sherry Lynn Grissom, 56, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025. A resident of Stuart’s Draft, VA, Sherry’s vibrant presence touched everyone who had the joy of knowing her.
 Sherry was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 11, 1969.
She was a devoted mother to her children, Richard, Ashley, David and Jacob Grissom. Sherry was also a proud grandmother to her grandchildren, Angel, Christine, Dalton, Leland, Peyton and Lyric, and her precious great-granddaughter, Evelyn. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every moment she spent with them. 
Music was one of Sherry’s greatest passions. She loved attending live shows with her children and grandchildren, creating memories to last a lifetime. Her favorite concerts were those of Bret Michaels, whose performances she treasured throughout her life. 
Sherry’s personality was larger than life. She was lively, funny, and intelligent, with a sense of humor that could light up any room. She had a gift for making others feel welcomed and cherished, and she was truly the life of any party. Sherry was also outspoken and fearless, never afraid to voice her opinion or stand up for what she believed was right. Her strength of character and her authenticity inspired those around her, and her presence left a lasting impression wherever she went. 
She also shared many cherished years with Richard Perotti who adored her deeply. Their bond began in Chicago in the late 1970’s and quickly grew into a lasting connection filled with love and companionship. 
Sherry’s family and friends will miss her beyond words, but her legacy of love and courage will live eternally in the hearts of all who knew her.
