Scott Anthony Long

Scott Anthony Long, 61, of Bridgewater, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

He was born on May 30, 1963 and was a son of the late Elmer Roy Long and Louise (Simmers) Long, who survives.

Scott had worked as Ham Radio Operator and was an avid bear hunter.

Scott is survived by two siblings, Samuel (Michelle) Long, of WA, Jennifer Long-Shank and friend and caregiver, Melinda Bosserman, of Bridgewater; children, Christie (Chris) Cornett, of Rockingham, Christopher Long, of Bridgewater; three grandchildren, Corbin, Cason, and Colton Cornett; nephews, Justin (Jaimie) Shank and Derick Shank; great-nieces, Emilynn and Aliyah Shank; numerous Aunts and Uncles also survive.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by grandparents, Elmer and Cora Long and Paul and Ivy Simmers.

A visitation will be held between 6 PM and 8 PM, on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater. A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Spring Creek Church of the Nazarene with Pastors Billy Curry and Tina Nelson officiating.
