Sallie Anne Chapman

Sallie Anne Skidmore Chapman, 86, of Churchville, died Wednesday (September 8, 2021) in King’s Daughters’ Community Health and Rehab Center in Staunton. 

Born June 26, 1935 in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of Frank Robert and Manila (White) Skidmore.  

Prior to retirement she was employed as a medical coder by Augusta Health.  Sallie was an accomplished artist and musician. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. 

Surviving are her three children, Marcus Kelley Chapman of Churchville, Laura Chapman Cress and husband Brett of Greenville, and Kathy Chapman Polensky of Boise, Ida.; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, September 10 in Schutterle Community Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Bobby Campbell.
